Airport – Sinharaja

Sinharaja Rain Forest reserve is only 21 km from east to west, and a maximum of 7 km from north to south, but it is a treasure trove of endemic species, including trees, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.

Half Day  in Sinharaja rain forest – Udawalawe

Day 3

Udawalawe National park in the morning

Udawalawe lies south of the central hills of the island, and it surrounds the man made reservoir of Udawalawe, which is part of the park. It is a mixture of abandoned teak plantation, scrub jungle & grassland. The dry season is best to watch the many herds of elephant that roam the park

Yala National park in the afternoon

Yala National Park gives the best opportunity to witness Sri Lanka’s broad variety of wildlife: colorful painted stork in troops are seen perched at the shores of lagoon where the crocodiles too have chosen to doze off; lovely fantailed peacocks in their resplendent blues and greens parade about amidst the woods where monkeys hang, leap and chatter; in the bush jungle are the Elephants; crossing the tracks and wandering off into the thorny scrub jungle is the star attraction of the park: the leopard.

Day 4

Thissamaharama – Bundala National park

Over 200 species of birds including both migrant and resident birds are living together in the park. Perhaps you may see elephants strolling in the park. Greater flamingo, grey heron, sandpipers, jacana, painted stork, black necked stork and Parakeet are some of the birds that you will found here. If you can count, you will find about 197 species of birds. Regarding the mammals you will find rusty spotted cat, wild boar, mouse deer, grey langur monkey, porcupine, pangolin and perhaps leopards.

Day 6

Nuwara Eliya – Horten plains

World’s End / Waterfalls – HORTON PLAINS NATIONAL PARK, Sri Lanka is undoubtedly one of the world’s best nature reserves. Spanning approximately 10,000 hectares the park is also home to a wide variety of flora

Adam’s peak ( Start to climb  in the midnight and take about 7 hrs, till following day morning )

Sri Pada, or Adam’s Peak, is sacred to all four main religious groups in Sri Lanka – the Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and the Christians. The giant footprint at the top is variously claimed as an imprint either of Lord Buddha, God Shiva, Adam, or St. Thomas, the Christian Apostle who preached in south India.

Kithulgala  ( Water rafting, Canoeing, Hiking etc )

Experience White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. This activity is for anyone above the age of 10 years with safety gear, modern rafts, and a comprehensive safety briefing will be given by our white water rafting instructors beforehand.

Kithulgala – Kandy

Sri Lanka’s famous Kandyan cultural dance show. Early evening, in time for the evening pooja, we visit the Temple of the Tooth, housing a relic from the Lord Buddha which was collected from his funeral pyre and brought to Sri Lanka over 1500 years ago.

Day 9

Kandy – Trecking in the Nuckles Range

It is a real paradise for those who love to hike or mountain bike , offering numerous mountainous trails that journey across clear rivers, through dense forests, past flowing waterfalls and lush tea plantations, and alongside terraced paddy fields and colourful Kandyan home gardens.

Dambulla

Day 10

Dambulla – Sigiriya rock fortress

We continue to the citadel of Sigiriya, founded over 1500 years ago, which is one of the most remarkable creations in the world. The king transformed a 200m rock into an impregnable fortress. Today the site offers the visitor a chance to see the world famous gallery of 5th century frescoes and the patricide kings palace on the summit. We climb the Sigiriya Hilltop fortress for stunning views to the forests below.

Minneriya National park

24 species of Mammals have been recorded from the park. In addition to having a very large population of Elephants in the park, Minneriya also has all other big game like Leopards, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Wild Buffalo, Wild Pig, Grey Langers, Purple-faced Leaf Monkey, three species of Mongoose, Porcupine & Indian Pangolin.

Day 12

Anuradhapura – ( Full Day Wilpattu National park )

Wilpattu National Park is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest wildlife parks. Wilpattu’s varying natural habitats; coastal belt, natural lakes (villus), cliff tops, scrublands, open grasslands and dense forest provide for numerous species of animals. Many of the `big game’ found in Sri Lanka including elephant, sloth bear, water buffalo, spotted dear and leopard can be seen here. The coastal belt and natural lakes attract many species of birds such as Painted Storks, Black-headed Ibis, Asian Open-bills, Whistling Teals, Eurasian Spoonbills, Little & Indian Cormorants and many species of kingfishers as well as water monitors and mugger crocodiles. It also contains a number of important cultural sites.

Day 13

Anuradhapura – Kalpitiya

Whale and Dolphin watching is a seasonal activity and sightings are certain on the west coast in locations from Kalpitiya which is a lesser known paradise within a paradise, its natural beauty, close knit fishing community, fresh sea food, provide interesting and varied possibilities for the visitor.
